We need your help to bring together breakthrough research, world class clinical treatment and the very best wellness therapies under one roof.
You know better than most the impact cancer has on family and friends. 1 in 3 Australians will develop cancer by the age of 75 and cancer is still the number one killer of Australians. Cancer is now the leading cause of death in Australia.
Cancer affects us all. By now you will have heard the news that, Olivia Newton-John, is undergoing treatment for a relapse of her breast cancer, I know this news will sadden you as it has done for me personally. Also, you may recall how in our Tax Appeal we told you how Lyall Watts lost his life to a deadly cancer called mesothelioma.
No two cancer patients are the same, which is why doctors and researchers work side-by-side to ensure each patient is getting the treatment that is best for them.
The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre (ONJ Centre) was the first of its kind in Australia to bring together breakthrough research, world class clinical treatment and the very best wellness therapies under one roof.
We can’t continue to help people thrive and defeat cancer without philanthropic support. We must raise over $1 million each year to sustain our Wellness Programs, and more than $1 million to develop better treatments and cures through research.
Our researchers and scientists are also working tirelessly on breakthroughs in lung, brain and breast cancers. It is critical that we continue to provide not only research into better treatments and cures, but also care and support during diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, which is where our wellness therapies are so vital.
